• On 15th Nov 2018, TRAI published their independent drive test report on the quality of mobile network of all the
operators, carried out on 8 Highways and 3 Railway routes
• All Telecom operators, except one, failed to meet the call drop benchmark on 4 Highways and all the 3 Rail routes
on their 3G and 2G networks
• Jio was the only operator who passed the call drop test with a combined average of 0.57%, rest all have missed
TRAI’s criteria of Call Drop Rate less than 2%
• In addition, the following criteria was also not met
➢ CSSR >= 95%
➢ Blocked call rate =< 3%
• Following are the highway & rail routes on which the tests were carried out
➢ Highway Routes:
- Asansol to Gava
- Bangalore to Murdeshwar
- Dehradun to Nainital
- Digha to Asansol
- Gaya to Danapur
- Mount Abu to Jodhpur
- Raipur to Jagdalpur
- Srinagar to Leh ➢ Rail Routes:
- Allahabad to Gorakhpur
- Delhi to Mumbai
